Join Our Club
Thinking about joining the Davy Crockett Longhunters? Well you're in the right place! We are always looking for fellow pilgrims to join our little family and learn the ways of the past. We are family friendly and would love nothing more than to help you get into this hobby.
Did you recently purchase a black powder fire arm? Or perhaps you inherited an old black powder rifle and are unsure how to safely operate it. We're here to help with that too! We have many experienced club members who can help teach you how to properly and safely use your black powder fire arm.
"So How Do I Join?"
The simplest answer: come to a meeting! No prior membership is required to come to one of our monthly shoots. Our club meets on the last Saturday of each month with a few exceptions. Due to the conflict of certain holidays, we don't meet in November and December, and our May meet is usually altered due to Memorial Day. Other than that, we'd love to see you at the end of the month!
At our monthly meetings/shoots, we target shoot using black powder rifle, smooth bore, pistol, bow and arrow, and tomahawk throw. You don't need to do all or any of these to come. After everyone has completed their target shooting, we hold a meeting to take care of club business.
Our meeting location is a chert pit just passed the Houser Cemetery on Waterloo Rd near Lawrenceburg, TN. Both the cemetery and the chert pit are on the right side of the road if coming from Lawrenceburg. Below is a drawing of a map showing the location of the chert pit. While cell service can be scarce in these parts, should you wish to attempt GPS navigation, the coordinates are [35.22819019993088, -87.44783927441974].
Please CONTACT US if you have any questions or need help locating our meeting location.
